COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in shortage in face masks. Currently, the supply of surgical masks is at a critical all-time low throughout the entire country. There is a high demand for protective equipment for health care workers and health authorities recommend people cover their mouths and noses with cloth face masks when in public.
Following the implementation of face mask production project, many makers and people have asked Mercy Hands for a pattern to sew homemade surgical masks for hospitals and their communities. Therefore, Mercy Hands has partnered with the 7th Sense Foundation for Media and Arts to produce a video tutorial on how to make surgical face mask at home.
The video tutorial shows how to make a surgical face mask using home sewing machine and locally available cloth.
The video is available on the 7th Sense Foundation's website and it will be broadcasted through social media and local TVs. Here is a link to the video tutorial: DIY How to Make Surgical Mask At Home.
