"This course helped to improve my skills and also to secure a proper job, for all of this I want to say thank you to my trainer and all the staff of Mercy Hands organization”.

Through the provision of free training courses in the educational field (English language, Human Development, Training of Trainers, Literacy, E-marketing, Accounting and Cashier) and in the vocational field (Electrical installations, Plumbing, Hospitality and Waitressing), psychosocial support sessions, temporary employment opportunities in partnership with local businesses, and provision of tool-kits and small loans, the project sustains the local youth in their search to better their skills and increase their work opportunities.

As Qusay joined the Electricity and Mechanics course, his level improved significantly in electrical installations. He became able to work in electrical installations and maintenance after he distinctly completed the sessions.

After completing the course and receiving the toolkit, Qusay searched for a job in electrical installations. By communicating with his friends and colleagues, Qusay found a job opportunity with his neighbor, who owns an electrical workshop and works in electrical installations for houses.

The neighbor told Qusay: "You will go out with me to work in electrical establishing in a house as an electrician this time, and if you are efficient at work, you will continue to work with me in my workshop”.

Qusay went out with his neighbor to work for the first time, he proved his efficiency at work, and he will use the tool kit that he received from the youth training center to work to work with his neighbor and employer, from now on.
